Description: This article describes the personal experience of a visually impaired student while pursuing a degree in Marketing Engineering and a Master 's Degree in Business Administration at two higher education institutions in the city of Quito. The study focuses on the analysis of the accessibility of courses, study materials, virtual learning environments and digital educational resources.. Through experiential introspection, experiences were gathered that helped to understand the problems and challenges that still exist in the Higher Education System of Ecuador. The study also synthesizes the role of technology in the training process, especially the screen reviewers, which establishes strengths and weaknesses by interacting with word processors, electronic sheets, OCR printing and scanning systems, audio playback and Video off and online, browsers, educational platforms, and access to repositories of scientific articles. For the diagnosis we considered: installation, portability, commands, voice synthesizers, complements, virtualization, operating system and accessibility.. The result of this analysis reveals the lack of pedagogical strategies and inclusive practices in the two higher education programs investigated. It is also evident from the prevailing need to design and create accessible digital educational materials. It is also noted that the screen reviser most used for its accessibility information in the Windows environment was JAWS, followed by NVDA and VOICE OBER in IOS systems. These results provide the opportunity for educators, academic directors, designers of virtual courses and authorities to become aware of the creation of inclusive educational programs
