One of the options offered by the country is "ecotourism". The better to exploit the flora and fauna that the area offers us Northwest of Imbabura. For the inhabitants of the capital of Imbabura and San Lorenzo is a dream awaited for 30 years the construction of this road that links Two important points of the mountains, coast and benefits the project. The authorities, meanwhile, see it as part of the interoceanic route that links the Pacific Ocean with the center of the country, to continue then by navigable rivers to the Atlantic Ocean. This is another one of the dreams shared by Ecuador and Brazil, of having a way fast and safe that crosses the continent. In addition, for the project it is very beneficial the contribution of a modality in circuit, that is, a connection with tourist interest, commercial, agricultural, what would include the ring Quito-lbarra-San Lorenzo-Esmeraldas-Santo Domingo-Alóag-Quito. We conclude affirming that tourism in Ecuador is the third item of income, which until 2001 represented 4.4% of GDP and one country privileged by its landscape, fauna and flora that can be made known to the rest of the world.
