The present study aims to perform a hydrocarbon profile in soils and sediments of the Limoncocha Biological Reserve and its surroundings. In the study sector, which encompasses the parishes of Shushufindi and Limoncocha belonging to the Ecuadorian Amazon, part of the infrastructure for the extraction and refining of Ecuadorian oil. For direct conversations with residents and leaders of the sector, it is known that the soils have suffered oil spills, spills of oil fractions, among others. Due to the extension of the area study, the selected sampling points are based on a directed sampling, based on in the history of the sector. The analytical method of detection used was that of gas chromatography, in which They detected aliphatic hydrocarbons mainly in the range of C8-C40. The results obtained show the existence of oil pollution in most of the selected sampling points, observing values of maximum concentrations of 1832 ppm and minimum of 0.37 ppm.
