rango de 7 a 8 The objective of this thesis is the optimization of the flocculation process and coagulation in the wastewater treatment plant of the textile factory Fibretint. The experimental work contemplates the dosage of small quantities of flocculants and coagulation aids in the water to be treated, the The method used corresponds to the jar test according to ASTM 2035. The tests carried out allowed to find the optimum pH range, the dosage of the additives and the agitation speed for each flocculant and coagulation assistant. The flocculants used are based on the aluminum polychloride, their trade names are: AWT PAC 101, AWT PAC 121, AWT PAC 152 and aluminum sulfate, and the assistants of coagulation AWT V9 and AWT V93. The results obtained establish that the flocculant AWT PAC 121 with the additive AWT V9 remove from seventy to one ninety percent color and turbidity under the following conditions: pH optimal work of 10, dose of 0.6 ml. of AWT PAC 121 and 0.1 mi. of AWT V9, temperature of 25 ° C, fast mixing speed of 180 RPM for 3 minutes, Slow mixing speed of 30 RPM for 2 minutes, time of sedimentation of 5 minutes, and a pH of the water after flocculation in a range of 7 to 8 |
