But I measure the quality of subsoil water is not within the estimated parameters begins the problem that in this particular case is linked to the presence of the ion Boron in the form of Borate B (OI I) 4- in water, which has direct implications on plant growth, cataloged as the main source of generation of currency of the area. From a methodological trial in the area of influence of the Cotopaxi volcano and its surroundings, where they appeared years ago, high levels of Boron in vain wells used as a source of drinking water, and for productive uses. exist some study projects with particular funding to implement a methodology of inonitoreo that allows to know the amount of water and to follow the evolution of the chemical species among these the boron, as to promote the knowledge of the local situation of the hydrogeological cycle and of some environmental parameters.
