Determinación de la calidad del agua de tres afluentes a la laguna de Limoncocha

Abstract

La Estación Científica de la Universidad Internacional Sek está ubicada dentro de la Reserva Biológica Limoncocha, en las márgenes de la laguna que lleva el mismo nombre. En las cercanías de las instalaciones de la Estación corren algunos ríos que alimentan la laguna. Se trata, pues, de un territorio en el cual el agua esta abundantemente presente. Por ésta consideración y conscientes de la importancia de la calidad del agua, tanto de la hermosa laguna, como de sus ríos tributarios, creímos necesario hacer estudios científicos, con el fin de determinar las condiciones se encuentra el agua de la zona. Los tres ríos escogidos para tal estudio fueron el Playayacu, él Huagrayacu y un río pequeño, al que denominamos "Camarón". Como método de estudio, que nos brindaría el buscado conocimiento acerca de la existencia o no de contaminación, se escogió el uso de bioíndicadores, en el cuál los macroínvertebrados fueron los principales protagonistas. El resultado de ese estudio es esta Tesis.

The Scientific Station of Sek International University is located within of the Limoncocha Biological Reserve, on the margins of the lagoon that bears the same name. In the vicinity of the facilities of the Station they run some rivers that feed the lagoon. It is, therefore, a territory in which the water is abundantly present. For this consideration and conscious of the importance of water quality, both of the beautiful lagoon, and of its tributary rivers, we thought it necessary to do scientific studies, in order to determine the conditions is the water of the area. The three rivers chosen for such study were the Playayacu, it Huagrayacu and a small river, which we call "Camarón". As a method of study, which would give us the sought knowledge about the existence or not of contamination, chose the use of bioindicators, in which the macroinvertebrates were the main protagonists. The result of this study is this Thesis.
