Abstract: El Ecuador ha venido atravesando una difícil situación económica durante los últimos años ocasionada por la crisis bancaria del año 1999, la cual trajo como consecuencia la inestabilidad financiera que terminó por destruir a la moneda nacional el Sucre; haciendo que el país opte por la dolarización. Al implementar esta decisión el país se comprometió a seguir rígidas normas económicas como hacer que el déficit fiscal sea cero. Por otro lado se determinaba que la única fuente de divisas serían las exportaciones. Por este motivo es de vital importancia que se desarrollen proyectos para exportar productos no tradicionales, que debido a la localización geográfica y situación ambiental privilegiada del país son solicitados bajo un estándar de calidad superior a nivel mundial. Si bien es cierto el cultivo de flores tropicales es aún bajo en comparación a otros tipos de flor, aunque su acogida en el mercado internacional sube cada día ya que se está difundiendo cada vez más información acerca de estas flores. El presente proyecto dará una clara visión de que el cultivo de la flor tropical es un negocio factible para el inversionista.
Description: Ecuador has been going through a difficult economic situation during the last years caused by the banking crisis of the year 1999, which brought as consequence of the financial instability that ended up destroying the currency National Sucre; making the country opt for dollarization. In implementing this decision, the country undertook to follow rigid rules economic factors such as making the fiscal deficit zero. On the other hand it determined that the only source of foreign currency would be exports. For this reason it is vitally important that projects be developed to export non-traditional products, which due to the geographical location and situation privileged environmental services are requested under a superior quality standard Worldwide. While it is true the cultivation of tropical flowers is still low compared to others types of flowers, although their reception in the international market rises every day since More and more information about these flowers is being disseminated. The present project will give a clear vision that the cultivation of the tropical flower is a feasible business for the investor.
