Abstract: Dentro del período entre 1960 y 1970, la información literaria que hablaba sobre el desarrollo económico, no hacía mucha referencia sobre los Mercados de Valores, ya que en esa época aún este tipo de Mercado no tenía un desarrollo adecuado. Para los interesados en este campo en aquel período, la Bolsa de Valores era simplemente un lugar donde se encontraba un grupo de personas comerciando con papeles, los mismos variaban de precio sin previo aviso que indicara el cambio. Actualmente, las diversas empresas y las tesorerías nacionales de países que van en vías de desarrollo, buscan en las Bolsa de Valores Nacionales e Internacionales, vías alternas para conseguir el financiamiento para sus actividades, tanto en el sector privado como en el público, para de ésta manera poder recuperar, por medio de la colocación de los diversas clases de Títulos - Valores existentes en este Mercado, la mayor cantidad de capital para el financiamiento de proyectos. Por otra parte, se ha demostrado que existe una estrecha relación entre el crecimiento y el desarrollo económico, para el mejoramiento del Sistema Financiero. Tomando en cuenta que el Mercado de Valores es una parte fundamental en del Sistema Financiero, podríamos suponer que un desarrollo poco ágil del mismo daría como consecuencia un lento crecimiento económico.
Description: Within the period between 1960 and 1970, the information literature that talked about economic development, I did not much reference on the Securities Markets, since in that even this type of market did not have an adequate development. On the other hand, has shown that there is a close relationship between the growth and economic development, for the improvement of Finance system. Taking into account that the Market of Values is a fundamental part of the Financial System, we could suppose that a little agile development of the same one would give As a consequence, a slow economic growth.
