Description: The purpose of this research project is to analyze the current problems of private public transport in the Metropolitan District of Quito. One of the biggest problems is the lack of control and the refusal of some drivers to be inspected by the Municipality. For this, data and information was collected from a sample of 5 urban transport operators. Of these, all handle the new system of "common cash" whose main objective is to generate capital and be equal, so each unit must earn the same as the others, allowing to be the start of a new stage in transportation in which the urban transport units in Quito can be inspected. It has been in effect since 2013 but it is not being applied correctly, so a socialization and training is needed for the managers of the operators. For the control of the units, a new system is being implemented, which controls security, speed and respect of stops by means of GPS and cameras implemented in each unit.
