tratamiento para el níquel y cobre antes de disponer de las cenizas In recent years, one of the most serious problems facing humanity is the generation of urban solid waste (RSU), a conflict that arises from the generation of large volumes of waste, which have not been used in its entirety because current life has forced societies to consume more quantities of resources, generating a greater ecological impact on the environment and health human Anywhere in the world where human beings live, it is essential to know the amount of RSU to collect and dispose, and its characteristics; with the objective of designing technically appropriate waste management systems. However, at present, the levels of waste generation are so high that the disposal systems traditional are not enough; additionally these methods waste the value intrinsic of the materials, which is why we have opted for a methodology that takes advantage the aforementioned resources, and thus also reduce environmental pollution, as well as the costs of waste management, in turn reducing the operating pressure of natural resources. From this approach it is necessary to analyze the composition of the RSU, fundamental characteristic for the selection of the best technology for the conversion of disposable waste into usable resources. The present research project aims to explain in a general way the relationship that has been established between the waste generated by the human being and the environment in which he lives. Thus, based on the definition and the importance of knowing data on the generation, characterization and distribution of the RSU, it is intended to emphasize within the framework of environmental health through the potential use of thermal treatments to those who can submit those resources that by their characteristics can be exploited through such methods, highlighting the fact that, at the end of the treatment processes and through the use of viable technologies, a development and product that seek to reduce pollution. The purpose is based on searching methods focused on reducing both the volumes to be disposed in sanitary landfills, as well as the use of waste. The objective of this study was based on one of the most important characteristics that should be known about the RSU, the concentration of heavy metals and their ability to transfer to the environment; since his knowledge is of relevance when analyzing the feasibility of using these materials to energy use. The applied sampling methodology was the one proposed by the Dr. Kunitoshi Sakurai, where representative samples were taken from quartzes after the homogenization of waste; which, in addition, gave way to its characterization for thus contribute to a database for the Limoncocha Biological Reserve (RBL). Later, in the laboratory, two methods were used based on the extraction of heavy metals of the samples, on the one hand the method via residue for the determination of the concentration of metals, and TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching) test Procedure) to know the ability of metals to transfer to the environment (leach). So, based on the results obtained from both field experiences and laboratory, it was determined that if there is a presence of heavy metals in the the RBL, which have very small concentrations, however, it is necessary treatment for nickel and copper before disposing of the ashes |
