| Abstract: | La Reserva Biológica de Limoncocha RBL se encuentra ubicada en la Provincia de Sucumbíos, cerca de actividades antropogénicas como la explotación hidrocarburífera y la producción agrícola. En la Reserva se encuentra la Laguna de Limococha, un sitio RAMSAR de extremado valor ecosistémico, usada por la población para la pesca, y como fuente de trabajo al ser un recurso turístico. La Universidad Internacional SEK, posee desde hace 23 años una Estación Científica en la que se realizan investigaciones para garantizar la sostenibilidad de la RBL; entre otros se han realizado estudios de concentración de metales pesados en aguas, suelos, sedimentos y en aire el material particulado sedimentable PMS, como complemento a estos estudios y para determinar las posibles interacciones de los metales en la matriz agua – sólidos suspendidos en la Laguna, se está realizando la presente investigación. |
| Description: | The Limoncocha RBL Biological Reserve is located in the Province of Sucumbíos, close to anthropogenic activities such as hydrocarbon exploitation and agricultural production. In reserve is the Limococha Lagoon, a RAMSAR site of extreme ecosystem value, used by the population for fishing, and as a source of work as a tourist resource. The SEK International University has had a Scientific Station for 23 years in which research is carried out to ensure the sustainability of the RBL. Among others, studies have been carried out on the concentration of heavy metals in water, soils, sediments and in air the sedimentable particulate material PMS. As a complement to these studies and to determine the possible interactions of the metals in the water-solids matrix suspended from the metals in the Laguna, and its ecosystem is conducting this research |
