Evaluación de impacto ambiental generado por actividades humanas en el sector de la laguna de Limoncocha y su área de influencia de distribución y abundancia de la población del caimán negro (melanosuchus niger)

Abstract

La presencia y el desarrollo de poblaciones humanas en la Amazonia Ecuatoriana genera impactos importantes en su medio biótico. Por esto, es necesario establecer técnicas de evaluación que nos permitan interpretar dichos efectos e identificar medidas para prevenir, controlar y mitigar estas acciones que degradan el hábitat de especies de flora y fauna. El presente estudio consiste en una Evaluación de Impacto de las diferentes actividades que influyen en la abundancia y distribución del Caimán Negro en la laguna de Limoncocha. Este trabajo está basado en seis etapas entre las que están: identificación, descripción, predicción y evaluación de las principales acciones humanas que causan impactos directos y/o indirectos, no deseados, en el hábitat del Melanosuchus niser. El asentamiento de la comunidad, la industria petrolera y la pesca son actividades presentes en Limoncocha. Así también, deben ser considerados, los residuos sólidos generados por la población aledaña y el vertido de aguas, provenientes del lavado de ropa y aseo personal, que ingresan a la laguna e interfieren en el equilibrio del ecosistema, causándole perturbaciones. Así, este estudio contribuye con mayor información sobre la especie Melanosuchus niger pretendiendo favorecer a la conservación de su población en la laguna, mediante la adopción de medidas que garanticen su manejo sustentable.

The presence and development of human populations in the Ecuadorian Amazon it generates important impacts in its biotic environment. For this, it is necessary to establish evaluation techniques that allow us to interpret these effects and identify measures to prevent, control and mitigate these actions that degrade the habitat of species of flora and fauna. The present study consists of an Impact Evaluation of the different activities that influence the abundance and distribution of the Black Cayman in the Limoncocha lagoon. This work is based on six stages among which are: identification, description, prediction and evaluation of the main actions that cause direct and / or indirect, unwanted impacts on the habitat of the Melanosuchus niser. The settlement of the community, the oil industry and fishing are activities present in Limoncocha. Also, solid waste should be considered. generated by the surrounding population and the discharge of water, from the washing of clothing and personal hygiene, which enter the lagoon and interfere with the balance of ecosystem, causing disturbances. Thus, this study contributes with more information about the Melanosuchus species niger pretending to favor the conservation of its population in the lagoon, through the adoption of measures that guarantee its sustainable management.
