| Resumen : | En los últimos años se han realizado grandes esfuerzos por tratar
de dar una vida digna a los adultos mayores. Sin embargo aún
existe un déficit de infraestructura debido a que la población
adulta mayor ha ido incrementando notablemente. En la provincia
de Tungurahua habido un incremento del índice poblacional de
adultos mayores actualmente la provincia cuanta con tres centros
que no abastecen a las necesidades de la población, es por esto
que se ha creado el Centro Integral del Adulto mayor en la
parroquia Totoras que se encuentra dentro de la provincia de
Tungurahua, dotando a este centro de todas las características
necesarias para un buen estilo de vida del adulto mayor. In recent years, great efforts have been made to deal with to give a dignified life to the elderly. However still there is an infrastructure deficit because the population older adult has been increasing significantly. In the province of Tungurahua there was an increase in the population index of adults currently the province how many with three centers that do not cater to the needs of the population, this is why that the Integral Center for the Elderly has been created in the Totoras parish that is located within the province of Tungurahua, endowing this center with all the characteristics necessary for a good lifestyle of the older adult.
