Condiciones de trabajo, empleo y de salud de la población migrante venezolana en América Latina y el Caribe: una revisión sistemática exploratoria

Abstract

Goals: identify the job, employment, and health conditions of the Venezuelan migrants in Latin America and the Caribbean to identify the research needs and serve as a tool for the elaboration of public policies in the region. Method: Scoping review of articles published in Pubmed and Scopus in Spanish, English or Portuguese, using Booleans operators with health conditions, employment conditions and work conditions descriptors. The target subjects are Venezuelan migrants located in Latin America and the Caribbean. The articles included are from 2016 -2021 and the results are presented using the PRISMA extension for scoping review (PRISMA- ScR) Results: 5 articles are identified from the Scopus and Pubmed databases. Most of them are in English (3) and from authors located in Colombia (3), no articles from the Caribbean region match the criteria. Only the studies conducted in Colombia shows the job, work and health conditions of the Venezuelan migrants as a whole. It´s needed to expand the research conducted in Colombia in the rest of the countries of the region for a better public policies definition.
