| dc.description | The present study presents a bibliographical review of women ́s entrepreneurship in Ecuador. It explores women ́s motivations and experiences from the point of view of social context. The review carried out emphasizes the fact that, though women ́s entrepreneurship is a topic that has been widely studied in several countries, the research has focused on cultural context, and, even in Ecuador, there are no in-depth studies that have analyzed the social context of women entrepreneurs: For this reason, it is recommended that qualitative and quantitative research be expanded to enhance understanding of this phenomenon. | dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo exploró una breve revisión bibliográfica sobre el emprendimiento de mujeres en el Ecuador y sus implicaciones desde el contexto social. La revisión que se realizó pone de relieve el hecho de que si bien es un tema que ha sido ampliamente estudiado desde las distintas esferas culturales en varios países, aún en Ecuador no existen estudios a profundidad que se enfoquen en analizar el contexto social de la mujer emprendedora, por lo que se recomienda que se amplíen las investigaciones de carácter cualitativo y cuantitativo que ayuden a entender de mejor manera este fenómeno.
