Marco legal ambiental y de seguridad y salud ocupacional aplicable a la estación científica de la Uisek en la reserva biológica de Limoncocha

Abstract

La Universidad Internacional SEK opera una estación científica en la Reserva Biológica de Limoncocha, en la amazonía ecuatoriana, donde realiza actividades académicas y de investigación. No se conocen a cabalidad los marcos legales vigentes y aplicables que rigen su funcionamiento en el área ambiental y en seguridad y salud ocupacional, por lo que se propuso identificarlos y analizarlos. Para ello, primero se definió las actividades principales de interés. Después, conforme a ellas se recopiló, leyó y analizó cuerpos legales que se hallaron, entre otros, en internet y en fuentes legales verificables. Luego, estos cuerpos legales fueron registrados y clasificados, y después brevemente resumidos, citados o comentados, utilizando el paquete informático de Microsoft Office. Finalmente, se consiguió determinar los marcos legales aplicables al funcionamiento de la estación y, como producto, elaborar una guía de cumplimiento legal por actividades que será útil en su gestión de Seguridad, Salud y Ambiente.

SEK International University operates a scientific station in the Biological Reserve of Limoncocha, in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where it carries out academic and research activities. The current and applicable legal frameworks governing their operation in the environmental area and in occupational safety and health are not fully known, so it was proposed to identify and analyze them. To do this, the main activities of interest were first defined. Then, according to them, it was compiled, read and analyzed legal bodies that were found, among others, on the internet and verifiable legal sources. Then, these legal bodies were registered and classified, and then briefly summarized, cited or commented on, using the Microsoft Office computer package. Finally, it was possible to determine the legal frameworks applicable to the operation of the station and, as a product, develop a legal compliance guide for activities that will be useful in its management of Safety, Health and Environment.
