dc.description | This project focuses on the design of a Central Market in the city of Coca, where the need for a commercial and social space has been evident, since until now the Coca does not have a market of supplies if not a commercial group that meets in Quito Street in temporary posts for lack of structure , in conjunction with the food court Virgen del Cisne which is called market, that after investigations and annotations on the site it was possible to verify the absence of a market. Coca has a warm humid climate so thermal comfort is a priority, both for users and for the products on display itself, given these conditions bioclimatic architecture is analyzed in two aspects, wind and sunlight, to employ various strategies that can maintain a fresh and pleasant atmosphere, which is also considered at the time of design the different characteristics that have the trading posts, the main strategy is that the posts that need more ventilation are located where there are double heights or more so that odors can dissipate. It combines bioclimatic strategies with structure to large lights to create a structural module that helps ventilate so that the roofs have an opening that allows the hot air to escape out there while the prevailing winds keep the place cool, It also deals with various materials operating thermal insulators and solar control devices. Finally a market is not only a food center but also a social meeting point between the social and cultural of the place where it is hosted.
