dc.description | This project focuses on the development of a functional prototype by FMD additive manufacturing method of an articulated hand prosthesis with EMG muscle sensor; In the first phase, the design is based on the Solid Works program, where the anthropometry of the human hand will be taken into account for custom and personalized manufacturing, in the second phase the parts of the prototype are printed in 3D with a flexible joint that generate biomechanical movements that contribute to people with reduced capacity due to the partial or total loss of their hand. In the third phase, biomechanics is used with the implementation of servomotors which will give functionality to the joints of the prosthesis with the use of programmable electronic plates in the Arduino software that collect the signals generated by the EMG muscle sensors (Palacios, Cruz, Luna, & Villalba, 2019). Once the construction and programming of the prosthesis is finished, grip tests and manipulation of objects are carried out to validate its usefulness and functionality.
