| dc.description | The research aimed to verify if the buildings with fifteen floors or more in the city of Quito in the La Carolina and El Batan sector are able to withstand with all the influx of people inside them in the moment a natural or anthropic emergency can occur, also we realized a detailed study of the means of egress in which we take measurements of stairs, emergency doors then we compared with the corresponding regulations, also we realize that certain old buildings do not accept recommendations of the current legal regulations which can endanger people's lives. | es |
| dc.description.abstract | La investigación tuvo como objetivo verificar si los edificios mayores a 15 pisos en la cuidad de Quito específicamente en el sector de La Carolina y El Batan son capaces de soportar toda la afluencia de gente que se encuentre dentro de ellos en caso de que se presente una emergencia natural o antrópica, se hizo un estudio detallado de los medios de egreso en los cuales se realizó mediciones en gradas, puertas de emergencia las mismas que fueron comparadas con la normativa correspondiente a su año de construcción, también nos pudimos dar cuenta que ciertos edificios antiguos no acogen recomendaciones de la normativa legal vigente lo cual puede poner en peligro la vida de las personas. | es |
