Bovine Babesia has a wide distribution in tropical and subtropical countries, however, in Ecuador there are not many studies, so the objective is to determine bovine Babesia through a multiplex PCR nested in samples collected from ticks from the Napo, Orellana and Sucumbíos belonging to the northern region of the Amazon where the preliminary results showed us with the highest percentage of positivity in B. bigemina in the province of Napo with 48% and the lowest in Orellana (12%), on the other hand, the percentage of positives for B. bovis by province it is 53% in Sucumbíos and the lowest in Orellana 18%. Finally, the amplification of Babesia spp in the provinces was presented with 40% in Napo, 53% Sucumbíos and 7% in Orellana. | es |
