dc.description.abstractprocess, activity, service, work or project that is underway to satisfy humans' necessities will generate positive and negative impacts towards the environment. The vast majority of these impacts are negatives causing alterations in the quality of the biotic environment, physical, social, economic and cultural. Ecuador is the fourth exporter of roses worldwide and one of the most productive sectors in the country. Due to its conditions and characteristics Ecuadorian roses are of a very good quality and these roses are exported to European, Asian market and more, but as another industrial activity it also generates environmental impacts. This is where methodologies such as the life cycle analysis (AVC), play a fundamental role at the time of fighting against environmental problems since this methodology allows to identify the negative impacts that a project, work or activity causes towards the environment, stablishing as objectives the reduction of negative impacts with efficient and friendly measures based in good environmental practices. (Guallasamin Constante & Simón-Baile, 2018) For this analysis, a company located in the province of Cayambe dedicated to the cultivation and export of roses will be taken as a case study. To determinate AVC it is proposed to use the Open LCA program which is a professional tool that allows you to store, achieve, analyze, identify and monitor the environmental performance of a product or service. (Mediavilla, 2019) Once the areas that produce the greatest environmental impact have been identified, efficient measures will be established to help reduce the impact of each activity in the project.es
