This thesis project describes how to create a new facility in the city of Quito: a shelter for vulnerable people that live on the streets daily. Their lives lack a living space, which forces them to take over the public and private spaces, an action that generates rejection from the rest of the citizens, that see it as an invasion. Moreover, the creation of the shelter project seeks to provide a space to host 300 homeless people temporarily, which would also have programs sponsored by humanitarian foundations that are specialized on helping them. Through a territorial analysis, the project would be implemented in a zone with high population density; the south zone of the city is the area that offers these conditions, taking advantage of the urban planification that has been carried out in it and the quantity of free land lots available to provide the people a shelter, and start alleviating this problem that has been increasing throughout the urban territory, and which we are all witnesses. The project will focus on offering a high range functionality and spacial comfort to employees and guests, with all the available and possible services in the same establishment. Furthermore, it will have a vast architectural equipment that meets the requirements to comply with municipal regulations, satisfy the necessities of the vulnerable people and allow them to carry out their activities without fear.es
