Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) states that musculoskeletal disorders of occupational origin are all those ailments of the locomotor system (tendons, muscles, bone skeleton, ligament, cartilage and nerves), caused or intensified by job. Dental professionals around the world are affected by various disorders in dental practice, stress, tension, bad postures and localized vibration, can contribute to the appearance of problems at the level of the skeletal muscle system of the personnel who practice it. The objective of this study is to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in dentists working in District 17D10 Cayambe - Pedro Moncayo –Salud. Methods: A crosssectional descriptive study was carried out in dentists belonging to the District Office 17D10 - CAYAMBE - PEDRO MONCAYO - SALUD, by using the Nordic Kuorinka Questionnaire, and the identification of socio-demographic data. Results: Twenty dentists were surveyed in the District Office 17D10-– CAYAMBE - PEDRO MONCAYO - SALUD. 100% of the payroll participated, 16 being female (80%) and 4 male (20%). The musculoskeletal symptoms presented by dentists in the last 12 months can be observed, according to anatomical region, where the most affected region corresponds to the dorsal or lumbar region (65%), followed by the neck (55%), and the elbow or right-left forearm is the least affected area (10%). Conclusion: The main discomforts reported by dentists in this study were mainly in the dorsal and lumbar region, followed by discomfort in the neck. Therefore, an ergonomically correct area is necessary to carry out its activity with the minimum longterm health repercussions and to carry out intervention programs on at-risk populations, dentists and dental students, and to check the reduction in the prevalence of occupational musculoskeletal paines
