The research work was carried out in a Galapagos Public Institution, which is responsible for the road maintenance of the rural area, productive development, administrative activities, etc. The Institution does not have reports determining the level of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which is why the GHG Emissions Inventory was established. The methodology used in this research paper is stipulated by the NTE INEN ISO 14064-1:2010 standard and the methodological guide of the same name. Scopes 1 and 2 were considered in order to estimate the level of emissions recorded by the Institution by fuel consumption and electricity, respectively. The study found that 81% of total electricity consumption is due to the use of air conditioners, which depend heavily on the ambient temperature recorded in the years of study, since during the months with higher temperature, there is a higher consumption of electricity. The established GHG Emissions Inventory determined that CO2- Equivalent emissions per consumption of Premium Diesel during the 5 years were 3386.61 t CO2- Equivalent, for Extra Gasoline 201.47 t CO2- Equivalent, per electric power consumption 455.20 t CO2- Equivalent. Based on these results, an Eco–Efficient Improvement Plan was proposed, which includes the replacement of nine combustion vehicles with electric vehicles, changing a 1995 truck to a current model, which would represent a saving of 4800 gallons of Extra Gasoline and 6864 gallons of Premium diesel annually; the implementation of a photovoltaic solar system of approximately 127 kWp power, which would cover the total energy consumption of the Institution including the recharging of electric vehicles;in turn would mean a reduction of 217 tCO2- Equivalent per year, representing significant potential environmental benefits for the Institution.es
