Around 50.83% of manufacturing companies that include chemical companies do not have environmental permits to operate. Due to the level of impact on the environment produced by chemical manufacturing companies, the “Green Point” environmental certification is an option because of the benefits economic and environmental it provides. The objective of this study is to promote an Environmental Management System through the “Green Point” certification in the manufacture of Chemical products for oil and water treatment in the Petroleum Industry. The structuring of the information for the green point certification will be developed through the collection of documents that contribute to the evaluation criteria. The determination of compliance with the evaluation aspects will be contrasted with Ministerial Agreement 140 “Institutional Framework of Environmental Incentives” Annex 3 Self-assessment matrix for the Productive Sector. Action lines will be proposed in the manufacturing processes to maintain the “Green Point” Certification through the socialization of results at the managerial level and the taking of corrective measures. As a result of the study, 98% compliance was obtained, this value being sufficient to obtain the environmental certificate, thus guaranteeing the management of good environmental practices during the production process, minimizing and reducing the environmental impacts generated by this economic activityes
