dc.description | Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) are caused by strenuous work that involves prolonged, maintained and forced postures, with little chance of change, outside comfortable angles or in imbalance. The most prevalent MSD include cervicalgia, low back pain and gonalgia. Between 65% and 90% of the population will suffer an episode of low back pain at some time in their life where the most common ailments are herniated disc, tendonitis, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, among others Therefore, this research aims to establish the degree of musculoskeletal conditions of workers dedicated to the administrative area of a mining area in the south of the country and for this purpose the ergonomic evaluation method REBA, IMC according the OMS and the Nordic questionnaire, which estimated the mechanical demand in the activities carried out and it was possible to determine the most affected body areas in relation to the body weight of each worker.
