Description: | Objective: To determine which professions in Primary Care are more susceptible to presenting burnout and the relationship of sociodemographic variables. Design: Cross-section descriptive study. Participants: Sample of 97 workers of different professions that work in the Health Area. Main measurements: The instrument used is the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). We studied personal variables (age, sex, marital status), work (job position, type of contract, working hours). Results: The study carried out does not show a statistically significant difference between the majority of leisure-demographic variables obtained from our workers and the risk of presenting burnout, unlike health professionals (doctors) who are between the ages of 35-54 years and a temporary contract. Conclusions: The prevalence of professional burnout in physicians is similar to that of other studies. Health workers who work directly or indirectly related to patients influence the workload and exhaustion. |
