The sport automotive demand of modifications in the components of the vehicles to increase its yield, the lack of automotive components of national production generates delays and additional expenses in the preparation of a car of competitions. The following research carries out the design, analysis and construction of an intake manifold for the Chevrolet Forsa 1.3 vehicle. Initially the range of revolutions of the engine is obtained by means of telemetry with the car in track with an average of 6007 rpm, later a collector of admission is created to analyze by means of the software OpenWAM and to obtain the first reference parameters of torque and power that are 111.80 Nm and 68.39 kW for the original manifold and for the designed manifold 136.444 Nm and 75.03 kW. With the use of CFD computational tools, the structural and dynamic aspects of the manifold are analyzed in order to define the best option for the construction of the new intake manifold, the fluid conditions were improved, increasing the speed from 6.09 m / s to 40 m / s. To validate the results obtained, several tests are performed on a dynamometer using the original multiple and the modified one, respectively. The results of torque and power are reflected in an increase of 16.06% and 16.58% respectively on the original collector thus achieving improvements in the performance of the engine.es
