In the workplace there are many tasks in which push and pull forces are performed. This type of force is used to manually move objects, push and drag on a surface, or use auxiliary transport elements, such as pallet trucks, carts, etc. It is necessary to use a device to measure the force executed by the worker. In practice it is difficult to have this measuring equipment, which is why we have used mathematical approximation equations proposed by some authors. The present research seeks to validate the use of these mathematical approximation equations by occupational health and safety professionals in estimating the level of force executed by the worker when a dynamometer is not available. The experimental technique of Culvenor and the Chilean Safety Association was replicated to estimate thrust and drag forces in an Ecuadorian industrial plant determining the results are not related to the measurement equipment.es
