Escuela de artes escénicas vinculada al proyecto de intervención del Teatro Capitol de Quito

Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de carrera propone el diseño de una escuela de artes escénicas vinculada al proyecto de intervención del Teatro Capitol de la ciudad de Quito. Mediante la investigación se determinó que en el sector de La Tola las casas residenciales fueron modificando su uso de suelo debido a los equipamientos existentes. Aspecto que causa inconformidad en los residentes y como respuesta a esta situación, manifiestan el interés de generar espacios para actividades educativas culturales. Este sector dispone de un hito de gran importancia histórica como es el Teatro Capitol, el mismo que debido a sus constantes cambios de uso y falta de mantenimiento se encontraba en estado de deterioro y abandono. En la actualidad el Teatro cuenta con un proyecto de intervención por parte del Instituto Metropolitano de Patrimonio Cultural de Quito (FONSAL). Se toma entonces el proyecto de intervención del Teatro y en el terreno que se encuentra en la parte posterior, se realiza la propuesta de diseño de un espacio que complemente al Teatro y genere una vinculación del mismo hacia la calle Los Ríos. El diseño de la Escuela de Artes Escénicas se desarrolla a partir del programa arquitectónico que contará con zona administrativa tanto para la escuela como para el Teatro, la escuela en sí, zona para artistas del Teatro, servicios complementarios como la cafetería y la mediateca y finalmente los servicios generales de parqueaderos, mantenimiento y control.

This final year project proposes the design of a performing arts school linked to the intervention project of the Capitol Theater of the city of Quito. Through the investigation it was determined that in the La Tola sector the residential houses They were modifying their land use due to the existing equipment. Appearance that causes dissatisfaction among the residents and in response to this situation, they express the interest of generate spaces for cultural educational activities. This sector has a landmark of great historical importance such as the Capitol Theater, the same that due to its constant changes of use and lack of maintenance was in state of deterioration and abandonment. At present the Theater has a project of intervention by the Metropolitan Institute of Cultural Heritage of Quito (FONSAL). The intervention project of the Theater is then taken and in the terrain found in the back, the design proposal for a space that complements the Theater and generate a link to the street Los Rios. The design of the School of Performing Arts is developed from the architectural program which will have an administrative area for both the school and the theater, the school in yes, area for theater artists, complementary services such as the cafeteria and the media library finally the general services of parking, maintenance and control.
