Economic growth and well-being in a country like Ecuador is highly conditioned by the possibilities of expanding volumes, values and diversity of exports, these being the dynamic element of the production and accumulation in our environment. Based on this, the hypotheses raised were the following: to. In Ecuador, the exportable supply of small and medium-sized companies is affected by organizational obstacles and availability of physical (production) and financial capacity decreases, and in On occasions, he cancels his ability to participate in foreign trade. b. Among the different alternatives of business organization for the export, consortiums are presented as a viable solution for that such companies in our country overcome the obstacles that limit their incursion in the international market. It is for this reason that the objective of this work has been to determine the structure and guidelines necessary for the creation of consortiums of export with a general approach, and to identify the required mechanisms to encourage the training of them showing the benefits that are would generate not only for member companies but also for trade outside of the country and the Ecuadorian economy as a whole. The methodology employed involved, first of all, the investigation bibliography that allowed me to establish the theoretical foundations of the subject, as well how to investigate cases worldwide using documents related to the experience in this field have other countries, books related to the conceptual framework of export consortiums and their functioning in general; field research, in small and medium-sized enterprises of a sector, collecting and analyzing the data obtained for the purpose of identify the participation capacity of these companies in the activities of export; Likewise, the interview method was used, which allowed us to know both the factors that hinder the incursion of small and médium companies in the international market as well as their perception of the benefits to participate in an export consortium as an alternative to enter in those markets. The report of the research carried out begins with the approach of the object of the International Trade, to then analyze the background and historical evolution of Ecuadorian exports, showing the changes in structure and composition in order to establish and substantiate the importance of new methods and marketing alternatives to achieve growth sustained in the national economy.-
