Descripción : The title of the present investigation is the relationship of anger with self-control in adolescents. Because adolescence is a critical stage, in which psycho-evolutionary changes occur, there could be an increase in anger levels and deficits in different types of self-control. Therefore, the general objective is to describe the quantitative associations between anger and self-control in adolescents to understand the relationships between these variables and propose ways of intervention adapted to the national reality. In the research methodology, a sample was used consisting of 49 male and female adolescents with an age range of 16 to 18 years. The instruments applied were the Inventory of Expression of Anger State - Trait 2 by Miguel Tobal, Married, Cano Vindel and Spielberger (2001) on the subject anger and the Questionnaire of Infantile Self-control and Adolescents of Capafóns and Silva (1985) on the subject self-control . According to the results obtained, the most frequent types of anger in the studied sample are: external anger control, followed by total anger control and the internal anger control scale. The most frequent deficits in the types of self-control are: procedural self-control, secondly reward delay, third, personal feedback. Negative correlations in higher absolute values were presented between the variables: anger expression index and self-control type of reward delay, followed by anger temperament variables and reward delay type self-control. On the other hand, in the highest positive correlations were between the external anger control variables and the criterial self-control, in the second place is the correlation between the scale of sincerity and the external expression anger scale. The results for the hypotheses presented show that there is a moderate correlation between the types of anger and the types of self-control. Therefore, it was concluded that this study does not show a linear correlation between the two variables, as hypothesized; however, this could be due to the size of the age range, the size of the sample, its non-probabilistic character. Furthermore, it is likely that there was some non-linear relationship.
