Estudio de factibilidad para la implementación de una hostería ecológica en Viscaya, Tungurahua- Ecuador

Abstract

El Turismo es una de las actividades que produce mayor efecto multiplicador en la economía, no solo impacta al sector económico sino que también influye en el desarrollo de otros sectores, aumentando la calidad de vida de los habitantes y protegiendo zonas naturales conservando el ecosistema. En un área que apenas representa el 2% de la superficie total del planeta tierra, el Ecuador cuenta con alrededor del 10% de organismos y especies vasculares, por lo que es considerado como el país más diverso del mundo albergando la mayor cantidad de especies animales y de plantas por Km2 del mundo. Es considerado como el segundo país en biodiversidad de vertebrados por unidad de territorio. El Ecuador es el tercer país con mayor diversidad de anfibios, el cuarto con más diversidad de pájaros y aves y el quinto con mayor diversidad de mariposas en el mundo. Existen 10 zonas de separación de corteza terrestre en el mundo de donde emergen islas volcánicas y en el Ecuador se encuentran 3 de ellas. Con todo esto es imposible imaginar como un país tan rico en materia de medio ambiente, no puede ser considerado uno de los países más turísticos del planeta. Existen muchas zonas en el país con la biodiversidad increíble que posee el Ecuador, que aún no han sido exploradas, una de ellas es el sector de Viscaya ubicado en la Provincia de Tungurahua. Viscaya cuenta con una vegetación de amazonía y un clima de la Sierra ecuatoriana, lleno de cascadas, flora y fauna, es un lugar con una historia incaica y colonial muy diversa, ideal para el descanso, la cultura y contacto con la comunidad ecuatoriana. A pesar de todas sus bondades, Viscaya no ha sido considerada como sector económico importante. Por este motivo lo que se pretende con el siguiente estudio es demostrar la factibilidad de implementar una Hostería Ecológica en el sector de Viscaya-Tungurahua-Ecuador que no solo tenga un beneficio económico para sus accionistas sino que también genere un estándar de vida más alto para los moradores del sector.

Viscaya has an Amazonian vegetation and a climate of the Ecuadorian Sierra, full of waterfalls, flora and fauna, is a place with a history Inca and colonial very diverse, ideal for rest, culture and contact with the Ecuadorian community. Despite all its benefits, Viscaya has not been considered as an important economic sector. For this reason what is intended with the following study is to demonstrate the feasibility of implementing an Ecological Inn in the sector of Viscaya-Tungurahua-Ecuador that not only has an economic benefit for its shareholders but also generate a higher standard of living for the residents of the sector.
