The main problem of the fiber cement industry studied is the loss of raw material due to the inefficient retention system of solids and fibers that are in operation, and the consequent overload of solids to the company's wastewater treatment plant. To solve this problem, an alternative process is proposed in the sedimentation system of manufacturing waters that contain raw material residues (cement, chrysotile fibers, fillers, etc.) basically based on the use of coagulants (Aluminum Sulphate) and coagulation aids (modified organic polymers) to achieve rapid sedimentation and recovery of suspended solids in water. The obtained results demonstrate the validity of the proposed solution, obtaining an efficiency in the recovery of solids from the sedimentation system of 96.9% in point # 3 corresponding to the overflow from cone 1 to cone 2, a result that was confirmed with laboratory analysis of the sludge and the sedimentation tests of suspended solids with flocculation showing a residual turbidity of 19 NTU and 0.016 g / L of suspended solids, when 200 mg / L of aluminum sulphate was dosed and 1 mg / L of the coagulation assistant Envifloc.-
