Abstract: This research is based on selecting an alternative material that can be used for the plastic injection manufacturing of the Kia Rio's ventilation grille, this accessory has a high acquisition cost because the vast majority are imported elements and when the vehicles It is a few years old, it is difficult to find this element, so a composite material will be sought that can replace the original, which is in a local environment and applicable in the plastic injection manufacturing process. The COPRAS multi-criteria method will be used to choose the ideal material to replace the original, which is ABS-PC, from a variety of materials that meet the characteristics and criteria that allow their proper selection, with PP-20% BAMBOO fiber being the ideal material. to replace the Original. Finally, obtaining the ideal candidate, the next step is to perform simulations of the plastic injection process with CFD analysis software for plastics, these simulations will be performed for the Original material, the ideal candidate and the worst candidate that will give us information in relation to This manufacturing method, the results obtained by the multi-criteria selection criterion showed that PP-20% bamboo fiber is the ideal candidate to replace the original, this result was corroborated by the CFD simulation that showed that this material has the best characteristics to be applied in the plastic injection process, the benefits of this research will allow promoting the production of these elements at the local level with the addition that, the bamboo fiber can be obtained in several provinces of Ecuador, which will generate jobs and not will be completely dependent on imports.
