Abstract: Objectives: To determine the presence of musculoskeletal disorders in the Office workers of the Provincial Coordination of “Seguro Social Campesino” of the city of Portoviejo in a given time and evaluate the level of risk for forced postures. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study of a sample of 50 people working in the administrative area of this institution was carried out. The population participating in this study covers 6 Dental supervisors, 8 medical supervisors, 6 nursing supervisors, 10 secretaries, 3 statisticians, 8 office workers in the Human Talent (resources) area, 3 users at reception and 6 technologists in the area of computer science. The survey was applied based on the Standardized Nordic questionnaire, and the REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) method to diagnose skeletal muscle pain and categorize the level of risk by forced postures, respectively. Results: The highest frequency of 28 participants was obtained, which covers 56% of having a medium risk for forced postures, and only 3 participants occupy 6% of being at very high risk. Regarding the symptoms of each body area, more involvement was observed in the 70% (Probably due to forced flexion of the dorsolumbar spine that ranged between 20-60) dorso-lumbar region, followed by a 68% neck, a 54% shoulder, a 48% wrist and an elbow with 14%. Conclusions: This study found that pain in the dorsal-lumbar spine region is the most affected in these workers, probably due to forced postures and due to the exposure time, intervention is necessary and immediate.
