Description: The main objective of this research is to question the stigmatizing attitudes that psychology students may have, in recent years, in relation to mental illnesses. This study will be carried out through the application of a structured questionnaire in order to open up spaces for reflection, to clarify the possibility of mitigating the impact of the prejudices that exists towards individuals with mental health problems. The Attribution AQ-27 questionnaire, prepared by Corrigan and collaborators in 2004, was applied and an informed consent was also attached where students agreed that the data obtained would be published in the present investigation. The sample of this research was 41 psychology students. This study is based on the qualitative method and the inductive- deductive procedure. The conclusion obtained was that the students of psychology showed more level of stigma in the variable coercion, taking into account that they agree that patients with psychic vulnerability must follow a compulsory psychiatric or psychological treatment, being unfit for their decisions and independence. Likewise, coercion is associated with the fact pharmacological treatments, and seclusion in centers specialized in mental illness, are an option that psychology students warn is necessary for the treatment of people with psychic problems.
