Abstract: El presente trabajo de investigación comprende el estudio acerca del procedimiento expedito para juzgar las contravenciones de violencia intrafamiliar, este procedimiento se presenta como un nuevo paradigma dentro del sistema procesal penal, pues busca resolver el conflicto de forma ágil y eficaz, al mismo tiempo garantiza la tutela judicial efectiva, enmarcada en el respeto al debido proceso, entendiéndose a este como un derecho fundamental, que a la vez contiene una serie de derechos y garantías consagradas tanto en la Constitución de la República del Ecuador, como en Instrumentos Internacionales, analizando las reglas que se debe observar en este procedimiento así como también los tres párrafos incorporados en el artículo 159 del Código Orgánico Integral Penal, con la disposición reformatoria séptima de la Ley Orgánica Integral para Prevenir y Erradicar la Violencia Contra la Mujer, publicada en el Registro Oficial No. S 175, del 5 de febrero de 2018.
Description: This research work includes the study about the expeditious procedure to judge the contraventions of intrafamily violence, this procedure is presented as a new paradigm within the criminal justice system, since it seeks to resolve the conflict in an agile and efficient way, at the same time guaranteeing the effective judicial protection, framed in the respect of the due process, understanding this as a fundamental right, which at the same time contains a series of rights and guarantees enshrined both in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, and in International Human Rights Instruments, analyzing the rules that should be observed in this procedure as well as the three paragraphs incorporated in article 159 of the Comprehensive Criminal Organic Code, with the seventh amendment to the Comprehensive Organic Law for the Prevention and Eradication of Violence Against Women, published in the Official Gazette No. S 175, on February 5, 2018.
