Descripción : The company Vicunha Ecuador, S.A. has set out the possibility of using the process effluents in the Wastewater Treatment Plant, which are normally released to the sewage system, was considered as a process fluid for the Finishing plant. in order to reduce the current well water consumption, investigation consisted in determining if it is technically feasible to replace that feeding by the effluent coming from the PTAR, without affecting the quality of the product and the operation of the plant, considering that the mentioned thing would have a positive incidence in the operating costs of the company, besides to contribute of active form with the preservation of the atmosphere, by means of the rationalization of a resource nonrenewable and indispensable as the water. In addition, critical parameters were determined based on the degree of contamination of the effluent, using the evaluation of the parameters: Chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological oxygen demand 5 (BOD5), total suspended solids (SST), sulphides, settle able solids and total solids. The results showed compliance with the parameters of the effluent with the current water quality regulations, and through the evaluation with the relevant history of the water quality behavior, the hypothesis that it is feasible to use treated effluents was established as positive, as process water in the Finishing plant, since the flow required by the plant represents approximately 50% of the flow generated by the WWTP
