| Abstract: | La presente investigación fue desarrollada con el objetivo principal de generar una propuesta de intervención psicológica para niños y niñas de 5 a 11 años que se encuentran en una casa de acogida, con el objetivo de favorecer en su desarrollo personal y estrategias de afrontamiento. Se realizaron las respectivas solicitudes a las autoridades competentes para la aplicación del cuestionario al personal de la casa hogar para conocer su perspectiva sobre las dificultades de los niños y niñas institucionalizados. Los principales motivos de ingreso a las instituciones de acogida son negligencia, abandono, abuso sexual, entre otros. Según los resultados del cuestionario aplicado al personal de la institución los tres motivos más frecuentes de ingreso son: abuso sexual, maltrato físico y psicológico y negligencia por parte de sus cuidadores. En los resultados se pudo observar que las tres áreas principales que los niños necesitan trabajar son: autoestima, sexualidad, estrategias de afrontamiento y manejo de emociones. Con la información recolectada se elaboró una propuesta de intervención de 35 sesiones individuales para cada niño y niña de la institución, para trabajar las áreas correspondientes. |
| Description: | The present investigation was developed with the main objective of generating a proposal of psychological intervention for children from 5 to 11 years old who are in a shelter, with the objective of favoring their personal development and coping strategies. The respective requests were made to the competent authorities for the application of the questionnaire to the staff of the home to find out their perspective on the difficulties of institutionalized children. The main reasons for admission to the host institutions are negligence, abandonment, sexual abuse, among others. According to the results of the questionnaire applied to the staff of the institution, the three most frequent reasons for admission are: sexual abuse, physical and psychological abuse and negligence on the part of their caregivers. In the results it was observed that the three main areas that children need to work with are: self-esteem, sexuality, coping strategies and emotions management. With the information collected, an intervention proposal of 35 individual sessions was elaborated for each child of the institution, to work the corresponding areas. |
