Abstract: La presente investigación fue elaborada con el objetivo de describir cuál es el estado actual de salud mental, en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica del Centro de Hemodiálisis San Rafael. Para la investigación se realizó un convenio con la institución para realizar la recolección de datos, además se buscó bibliografía relacionada a tratamientos médicos crónicos. La evaluación que se usó fue el inventario conductual de Millon para pacientes con diagnóstico médico (MBMD), elaborado por, Theodore Millon, Michael Antoni, Carrie Millon, Sarah Minor y Seth Grossman elaborado en 2014, previamente a la aplicación los evaluados firmaron un consentimiento informado accediendo a que los datos obtenidos en la evaluación se publiquen en esta investigación. La población de esta investigación está en un rango de 18 a 80 años, durante el levantamiento de la información se utilizó el método cuantitativo y el procesamiento fue inductivo-deductivo. Se concluyó que los pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica en el Centro de Hemodiálisis San Rafael tienen un estado alterado de salud mental, mostrando que el 98% de la población tienen una inadecuada adaptación a su enfermedad. Sin embargo el 71% intentan cumplir con los requerimientos del tratamiento, sin importar si entienden la importancia de los cuidados que deben tener.
Description: This investigation was elaborated with the objective of describe Wich is the current status of mental health, in patients with chronic kidney disease at Centro de Hemodiálisis San Rafael, the population for this investigation is of people around 18 to 80 years old. Previously, to start with the study exist an agreement with the medical institution to collect the facts needed, also this work was made searching bibliography related to medical treatments for chronically disease. The Test that was used was the Million behavioral medicine diagnostic (MBMD), elaborate by Theodore Million, Michael Antoni, Carrie Million, Sarah Minor and Seth Grossman (2014). The Cuantitative Method, and also the inductive- deductive method were applied During the information gathering. Before the application, the evaluated patients agreed that their data obtained from the evaluation to be published in this investigation signing informed consent document. Using the methodology mentioned before, it was possible to determine that the patients of Chronic kidney disease of the Centro de Hemodialisis San Rafael have an altered status in their mental health, showing that the most of the population have an inadequate adaptation to their disease, how ever they try to accomplish with the treatment requirements, no matter if they understand the importance of care measures they must have.
