Description: In the present investigation, a logical sequence is produced to propose an alternative material for the tips of the rear axle of a Sparkr car, taking into account the demands that this autopart. The sequence must follow is as follows: first, the base material which is manufactured from the tip of the rear axle will be characterized by destructive and non-destructive tests under the same standards: ASTM E415 for the chemical composition test, obtaining 0,587-0,603 % C; the ASTM E18 to determine the Brinell hardness of the material, obtaining a hardness of 322.77 HB HB and for the tensile strength was used the existing literature that relates the hardness vs the tensile strength, obtaining a tensile strength of 𝑘𝑔/𝑚𝑚2. Subsequently, a multicriteria analysis is performed with the Entropy, Ordination Simple and CRITIC methods, to weight the weights of each criterion and the EXPROM II, TOPSIS and VIKOR method for the selection of materials and thus establishing an optimal and subsequent alternative in future works to be able to manufacture in the country is ready, since it is currently imported. And in a final stage a static simulation is performed, under the working conditions in which the tip of the rear axle is at some point (the elements in the obstacle, the lateral force and the reaction force) and thus establish the material that was the winner (AISI 5115) in the multicriteria analysis is the best for you as an optimal alternative in the replacement of the named autopart.
