Abstract: | Objetivo: Representar geográficamente la distribución de los accidentes de trabajo calificados en la República de Ecuador, mediante el empleo de sistemas de información geográfica. Materiales y Métodos: Análisis espacial de tipo exploratorio de los accidentes de trabajo calificados a partir de las estadísticas del Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social en el período de 2014 a 2017 (n=77.387). Resultados: En el período de estudio se observó que las provincias que presentaron una mayor calificación fueron: Zamora Chinchipe y Napo con un 15% y 13.3% respectivamente, mientras que las provincias con el menor índice de calificación fueron Imbabura y Carchi con un 1.4% cada una (tasa ajustada = x 10.000) Conclusiones: Estos resultados serán consideraros como el primer estudio que distribuye geográficamente los accidentes de trabajo calificados en Ecuador, permitiendo determinar las políticas de actuación. |
Description: | Represent geographically the distribution of qualified work accidents in the Republic of Ecuador, through the use of geographic information systems. Materials and Methods: Spatial analysis of exploratory type of work accidents qualified from the statistics of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute in the period from 2014 to 2017 (n = 77,387).
