Description: The construction of popular markets is usually the product of the urban and demographic growth of certain sectors of the city or their need for organization. This growth causes the appearance of informal businesses located on the sidewalks of crowded neighborhoods, which gradually tend to become saturated, resulting in the action of residents or municipalities in charge of relocating these vendors to a place in common with the necessary infrastructure for their activities. This necessary infrastructure, with basic services and the construction that embraces them, must, as a main premise, improve the quality of work of these people and consequently that of the sector where it is located. However, over time the space goes from being optimal to gorging on merchants looking for a job and, as a natural process, it becomes insufficient. The Artisan Market La Mariscal has not escaped this process, going through the inauguration of it, until going through the unfortunate fire happened in 50% of its facilities product of its limited adjustments, its subsequent reconstruction, until finally, stop cater to the number of sellers and their needs. In this document we will delve into these evolutionary processes and their consequences and analyze the possible solutions within the current municipal norms and the corresponding architectural response towards a new infrastructure directly related to their surroundings and under the search of the tourist and cultural improvement of the neighborhood for the future .
