| Abstract: | El artículo presenta un análisis descriptivo del impacto de las salvaguardas en la economía ecuatoriana, a partir de cifras de importación de los años, 2015 y 2016; su secuela en relación a cada tipo de industria; y su efecto en el consumo interno, delimitando las principales restricciones e instrumentosutilizados fruto de la política implementada. Al culmino de este mecanismo de restricción es prioritario examinar los efectos positivos y negativos en el desarrollo económico y sistema financierocomo registro de las medidas implementadas en el escenario ecuatoriano. Las importaciones cayeron a partir del 2015, año en que fue implementada la medida, y sobre todo de una manera considerable en el año 2016, fundamentalmente por la aplicación de las sobretasas arancelarias aplicadas por el gobierno nacional. Si bien la balanza comercial ecuatoriana, en el 2016 presentó un superávit, ¿cuál sería el costo de este logro? |
| Description: | The article presents a descriptive analysis of the impact of safeguards in the Ecuadorian economy, based on import figures for the years 2015 and 2016; Its sequel in relation to each type of industry; And its effect on domestic consumption, delimiting the main restrictions and instruments used as a result of the implemented policy. At the culmination of this restriction mechanism, it is a priority to examine the positive and negative effects on economic development and the financial system as a record of the measures implemented in the ecuadorian stage. Imports fell as from 2015, the year in which the measure was implemented, and notably in 2016, mainly because of the application of tariff surcharges applied by the national government. Although the Ecuadorian trade balance, in 2016 presented a surplus, what would be the cost of this achievement? |
