dc.description.abstractDespués de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la protección de los derechos humanos se convirtió en un tema debatido internacionalmente. Consecuentemente, la Organización de las Naciones Unidas- ONU fue creada para mantener la paz internacional, promover la justicia social y proteger los derechos humanos1. El 10 de Diciembre de 1948, la Asamblea General de la ONU adoptó la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos DUDH para ser empleada como guía para todas las personas y naciones. Desde entonces, los países a nivel mundial han seguido los postulados internacionales de la ONU. Sin embargo, fue necesario crear sistemas regionales para proveer soluciones a los conflictos sobre derechos humanos que surgían dentro de sus fronteras. Por lo mismo, Europa y las Américas adoptaron sus propias declaraciones y convenciones de derechos humanos2, en el caso de éstas últimas: el Convenio Europeo para la Salvaguarda de los Derechos del Hombre – CEDH y la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos, Pacto de San José – CADH.es_ES
dc.description.abstractAfter the Second World War, the protection of human rights became an internationally debated issue. Consequently, the United Nations Organization-UN was created to maintain international peace, promote social justice and protect human rights1. On December 10, 1948, the General Assembly of the UN adopted the UDHR Universal Declaration of Human Rights to be used as a guide for all people and nations. Since then, countries worldwide have followed the international postulates of the UN. However, it was necessary to create regional systems to provide solutions to human rights conflicts that arose within their borders. For this reason, Europe and the Americas adopted their own declarations and human rights conventions2, in the case of the latter: the European Convention for the Safeguarding of the Rights of Man - ECHR and the American Convention on Human Rights, Pact of San José - CADH.-
