Description: From Sound to Audiovisual Narration, is a manual for tHe use of sound in the production of movies, video and television. Sound is a fundamental partofaudiovisualsanditsstudyisessentialforthecreationofqualityproducts. When we talk about sound, we are talking about a physic phenomenon that when is perceived by humans, it converts in to a sign which supplies information and generates emotions. But, how do we perceive this phenomenon through an audiovisual medium? If we are talking about sound and audiovisuals this is the question that every audiovisual narrator has to ask him or herself, in order to do it, he or she must understand well the sound phenomenon and the human perception of sound; he or she must understand and handle the technological treatment and the tools to capture, edit and reproduce it; and finally, he or she must use this knowledge in order to get a right and creative coupling between image and sound. Without sound there could not exist the audiovisuals, this is why we should give equal care to sound and image. The following work comes with a DVD that contains audiovisual examples of the theory exposed. These examples were taken from original movies.
