Television became a means of power and influence in the society, it has the power of making heroes, characters and idols, but it all perishes with regard to the impact caused by immediate facts, sensationalism, tabloids, banalism and violence. This is not only responsibility of the means of communication, however, but also of the audience who evaluates the programs without making the effort of reflecting or critics. New forms of the current television programs are coming up such as reality shows which have been enormously successful in the audiovisual industry due to their audience's high tuning rates. "Big Brother" and "Popstars" release emotions, reactions and feelings, both of the participants of the reality show and the TV viewers as the intimacy of the participants in those reality shows can be watched through a camera within the reach of the viewers. In this study we analyze how those programs "Big Brother" and "Popstars" can change the lives of the winners, transforming them into a kind of idols admired by the audience. Furthermore, social and economic consequences are identified which are left by those intimacy shows on the winners one year after finishing the show.-
