| Abstract: | El presente estudio trata sobre la deserción de los alumnos de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas de la Universidad Internacional SEK (UISEK) desde el año 1.999 hasta el primer semestre del 2.004. Está elaborado con la finalidad de encontrar las causas de esta decisión. Para conocer lo antes mencionado, se elaboró una encuesta de cinco preguntas donde se investiga a los alumnos invitándolos a dar su opinión sobre su experiencia como ex alumnos de la UISEK. Se analizó a las universidades que son competencia directa de la UISEK, ya que las encuestas demostraban que gran cantidad de alumnos ingresaron a estos centros de estudios. Se elaboró un análisis del Consejo Nacional de Educación Superior del Ecuador, para establecer su misión y labor en lo que corresponde a las universidades de la ciudad de Quito. El presente trabajo también sirvió para elaborar un análisis FODA de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas de la UISEK y así establecer sus virtudes y falencias y determinar donde se pueda actuar para mejorar. Con los resultados obtenidos la comunidad universitaria de la UISEK podrá conocer cuales fueron los principales motivos de retiro de los alumnos y así poner más énfasis en su toma de decisiones. |
| Description: | The present study deals with the desertion of the students of the Faculty of Sciences Economics and Administration of the SEK International University (UISEK) from the year 1999 until the first semester of 2004. It is designed to find the causes of this decision. To know As mentioned above, a survey of five questions was developed, which investigates students inviting them to give their opinion about their experience as alumni of the UISEK. The universities that are the direct competitors of the UISEK were analyzed, since the surveys showed that a large number of students entered these centers studies. An analysis was prepared by the National Council of Higher Education of Ecuador, for establish its mission and work in what corresponds to the universities of the city of Quito. The present work also served to elaborate a SWOT analysis of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences of the UISEK and thus establish its virtues and flaws and determine where you can act to improve. With the results obtained the university community of the UISEK will be able to know which were the main reasons for the students' withdrawal and thus put more emphasis in your decision making. |
