The city of Quito over time has generated several nuances at the time of its growth, renouncing the architectural work as a fundamental element of history, presenting interpretations with lack of autonomy in a certain dimension. The "urban magma" 1, thus calling everything that is indifferent and homogeneous and inviting us to discover the true city through an analysis of existing strata, which illuminated the path towards the identity of the same. The city is presented with a structural and functional complexity in a particular way, consisting of a large number of elements that have been recorded over time, on which the daily life of humans has passed, and the way of exhibiting is through signs, which are latent in the memory; "The city itself is the collective memory of the people" 2, memory is the fundamental value that allows linking yesterday with tomorrow, and the presence of these meaningful events create awareness to build future cities. Interpreting these signs gives rise to a different design approach, based on the historical data with which a new connection interacts, thus defining the path that incorporates and respects the cultural and architectural aspects of the place
